News Archives      May 20, 2009: Heartbroken, Server 1st   [ Return to News Archive ]     Hard Mode Deconstructor was proving an interesting fight with a lot of raid damage abound, and Light/Gravity bombs flying all over the place. We wiped over and over again, and things were looking grim as the raid night wound to a close. Then it occurred to me: it was so obvious, and yet we had never thought about it before. The key to beating this fight was... Pat Benatar. The greatest female rock vocalist of all time. This was only the beginning. We then hearthed and called for guild funds to pay for appropriate 80's hairdo's otherwise the lyrics would be powerless against XT-002's defense grid. Doko (pictured above) grabbed the lead guitar, jumped on top of an amp, and let forth a mighty blast of a screaming guitar riff. The rest of the fight was a no contest. 12:41am CST on Wednesday, May 20th. Excellent job everyone, even though the fight was completely fucking unplayable until 11:00 PM CST (Thanks Blizzard!)
