HEY BABY, YOU ON THE REBOUND?
Malygos is probably the single easiest encounter in WoW right now because you can just stack your entire raid in one place with reckless abandon and collect epics. We had originally tried to do the fight in some semblance of perceived "intendedness" by spreading out but this was unsuccessful.
The new strategy consists pretty much of the following:
Really Peppy? You don't need to mitigate any of the damage that happens in Phase 3?

What the fuck ever. Greasing up and dogpiling on top of eachother with our collective thumbs up our ass with a few people spamming Life Burst finishers is infinitely more effective, leading to a death in just a few attempts with almost no Phase 3 deaths.
Other bugs we encountered with this fight:
1) During Phase 1 when entering the air Malygos would randomly breathe on the raid for an upwards of 50000 damage as a "parting gift".
2) During Phase 2, Malygos would randomly fly to the platform and start biting random raid members.
I'm serious. This is it actually happening:

3) During Phase 2, the instance server would chug so god damn hard that I'd see abilities go off up to 20 seconds after I had already used them.
4) During Phase 3, the floor collapsed and the entire raid died instantly. No explanation on what happened here (maybe the Red Drakes didn't spawn in time due to lag? You be the judge).
Huge grats to Narkan on fucking up 11 consecutive screenshots of the Alexstraza heart photo. He insisted that he ShamWOW!'d his Flame Shield to make it better and that I had no idea just how incredible German engineering is. Joke's on you. |
